Colorful New Year’s Eve Wedding at Please Touch Museum | Stephanie & Julien

Planning a destination wedding while both of you are completing residency is quite the feat. But that’s exactly what Stephanie and Julien did. They met in medical school and matched for their residency in New York. Their demanding schedules didn’t give them much time off. After getting engaged, they decided to tie the knot on one of their few days off- New Year’s Eve. Inspired by the colors in Stephanie’s engagement ring, the couple decked the halls of Please Touch Museum with shades of purple, blue, and gold. From the heirloom jewelry Stephanie wore to the ball drop at midnight, their wedding was a beautiful blend of the past and present.

Stephanie spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids before she slipped into her Made with Love Bridal gown. The delicate floral appliqués on her veil beautifully mirrored the lace of her dress. What I love even more is the story behind her jewelry. Everything she wore was from the family! The diamond ring she wore was from her paternal grandmother and later became her mom’s engagement ring. The necklace she wore was from her maternal grandma and the bracelets were her mom’s. Her new mother-in-law gifted her a pair of earrings that coordinated with her engagement ring. It was a beautiful tribute to the women of the family!

The couple and their wedding party braved the cold for photos at the iconic Rocky Steps and Rodin Museum. Their ceremony took place under the chuppah Julien built and close family and friends read the traditional readings in Hebrew and English. Guests enjoyed carousel rides during cocktail hour and live music from Deja Blue Band during the reception. Stephanie and Julien were treated to a surprise performance from their cousins before the ball dropped at midnight!

Stephanie and Julien, it was joy to ring in the New Year at your wedding and an honor to serve as your wedding coordinator. I hope you cherish these fabulous photos Sean Marshall Lin Photography captured of your wedding day for the rest of your lives!
